The Folly Tree Arboretum is a collection of over 250 rare, unusual and culturally significant trees located on the south fork of Long Island. Founded in 2013, the Folly Tree Arboretum works to promote an exuberant environmental ethic through art and science.The trees of Folly Tree Arboretum reexamine the cultural requirements we place on living things so that they may expanded beyond the practical, profitable and logical. They achieve this through landscape installations, collaborations with artists, lectures, workshops, traveling performance and by seeking the production of the enigmatic Folly Tree; a unique cultivar possessing seemingly no horticultural value. The Folly Tree Arboretum is a Nonprofit organization, currently located in Springs, NY.
